I received a Diploma in Mathematics from the University of Bologna and a Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (IDIAP Research Institute).

In September 2011, I joined Microsoft Research Cambridge as a post-doctoral researcher. Before that, I worked as a Marie-Curie fellow at the Statistical Laboratory and as a post-doctoral researcher at the Max-Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in the Department of Empirical Inference.

My research interests are based around Probabilistic Models, Graphical Models, Bayesian Methods, Approximate Inference, Time-Series Analysis and their applications to real-world problems.
